The SPOT "A Simple Grocer", LLC is a woman owned business due to open in 2009. The business is a simple old fashion grocery store intended to serve and sustain the community of Historic Lafayette Square (Urban St. Louis City) and other parts of St. Louis City. Our goal is to provide customers with a variety of basic grocery items, some natural/organic products, small hardware, services and simple prepared comfort cuisine from our kitchen. We will offer grocery items that our customers use on a daily basis. We will be energy efficient, recycle and use local growers and suppliers where possible. Currently this small area does not have a dedicated grocery store for a population of 34,000 residents and over 100,000 employees. We aim to fill this void. The store is supported by St. Louis City, Mayor Slay and the St. Louis Development Corporation and the residents of Lafayette Square.

I have had extensive experience in the grocery industry in the suburbs of St. Louis County, having served in numerous positions within the grocery business, floral business, marketing and advertising.
