Description: I currently have a catering and event planning company, Kimberly Event Planning and Catering. I am looking to open a profitable small business which enables me to utilize the kitchen for catering and establish the connections required for my real (URL removed)entional Alliances. Intentional Alliances is my true goal. This is an organization in the seedling stage. The idea in a nut shell is to create an organization which brings small business owners together to raise customer service and employee relation standards while focusing on charitable contributions and community involvement. My intention is to have nationwide involvement and contributions within a 5 year time frame. This start-up business enables me to become actively involved in the community as a small business owner myself, which will ultimately lead me to the necessary connections. There is no better way to influence people than to become one who shares the same burdens. My story would actually be a terrific testimonial of how one faces challenges but by staying true to your ideals, can help change the community for the better. I believe our nation, and the world, it at the first stages of a tremendous wake-up call. I feel that it is my task to assist in the change and that the heart of the community is where it needs to begin. As for Kimberly's Bagel & Bread Shop, I almost fell into this opportunity. This breakfast bagel/deli lunch store has an unbelievable profit margin, lacks competition, is community supported, and will maintain a high level of community involvement. This is the perfect vehical for my intention. The store is my vehical, the catering is my outlet, and Intentional Alliances is my passion. I would love to say I am financially secure enough to go this on my own, but I am not. I mentioned the challenges. I sometimes refer to them as "slaying dragons." There has been alot of that in my life, but now I am certain that this is the path that has been chosen for me. The amount I am requesting gets me off to the strong start that is truely worth the money, time, and effort. Thank you for reviewing my request.
