Description: In a nutshell (URL removed) is a social deal-finding website that allows people to find and share deals, bargains, and coupons. We've taken the idea cultivated by (URL removed) and (URL removed) -- a repository of great deals found on the web -- and placed it in a social structure which facilitates user participation. What it does Users are able to submit deals for their peers to view and take advantage of, and cast their vote by "snooping" deals that they like. Users can also save deals to their trophy case to show what deals they've snagged, and build a group of snoopr friends with similar deal finding tastes. A review by (URL removed) described snoopr as "Digg for deals". How it's different Other deal sites are build on stale forum technology. We built our site from the ground up to cater specifically to finding deals. The goal of our software is to facilitate the social aspects of finding and sharing deals to build a strong, interactive, and self-managing community. How we'll make money We have affiliate accounts with many major online retailers, so we get a percentage of the sales for deals that trigger sales at those retailers. This makes the site content itself is a revenue stream. Additionally, we have plans for standard website advertising.
