However, we pride ourselves on not being pretentious about it and not trying to always up-sell a customer. Our goal is to bring them in at whatever level they are at in their wine knowledge and cultivate them, so that they appreciate the higher quality wines, thereby naturally increasing their buying level on their own. We also set the store by grape and varietal, not country or price point, hence, our tagline, "A Fusion of Old & New World Wines". This makes it easier for customers to understand the Old World labels and it introduces them to a wider variety of wines. We also work with a large number of different distributors, always searching for the best value and unique, small production wines whenever possible. This makes our wine inventory more unique than other stores. This, in addition to our KaCee Klub loyalty program, also helps with customer retention. At the beginning of the year, we started our monthly wine club, The Cru, which has been very successful already. The Cru features wines that are exclusive to KaCee’s and cannot be purchased in any other liquor store in the area. In addition to wine, we also have a large inventory of craft and micro brew beers, plus a full line of popular and unique spirits. We have a very loyal customer base and we have new customers coming in all the time. Carol utilizes Constant Contact for a weekly email with our tasting notes and coupons that goes out to over 4000 customers. Our free twice-weekly tastings that we host every Wednesday and Saturday 4-7pm, with complimentary cheese and crackers, are quite the social event. We also host several events at the store throughout the year such as our annual Valentine's Day Wine & Chocolate Tastings, July 4th cookout, Yappy Hours (a very popular outside event with dog-themed wines and beers where customers bring their dogs along), Anniversary Party, Wine Dinners at local restaurants, and numerous in-store tastings with international winemakers. We are involved with the community, donating International Wine Baskets to charitable events for their silent auctions. This provides us with local PR plus the gift certificates in the baskets bring in new customers. We also cater the wine and liquor for most of the weddings and special events at The Chateaux at Fox Meadows.
