In a time, where a significant number of young and talented Reggae Artistes, are unable to shine, due to lack of funding and/or lack of promotion; there came a ray of hope, in the form of Torch Promotions.
Torch Promotions was founded in late 2007, by its current C.E.O. Kerry McKenzie. As the daughter of New York based Reggae Recording Artiste, Teddy Selassie, she felt the need to do something to help in the promulgation of Reggae, throughout the Caribbean, North America, and Europe.
Torch Promotions currently assists “young” and “well-established” Reggae artistes in the areas of Funding, Transportation & Promotions, to include Bookings.
Kerry McKenzie, Pauline Phillips, and the “Fire Agents” are strategically placed around the world; for the purpose of liaising with various significant members of the International Reggae Community.
“Fire Agents” currently reside in Jamaica, U.S.A., Canada, Brazil, United Kingdom, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Greece and The Netherlands. The mandate for 2009, and beyond, is to expand to various territories in Asia, Africa, and South America, in the continued quest to spread the message of love, peace and harmony; Reggae Music.
