The Learning Grove is a for profit enterprise that seeks to gain profit by providing middle-school children in lower economic areas with high-quality after-school tutorial services. Through the use of various accelerated learning techniques, the Learning Grove aims to instill the joy of learning to its pupils and thus help them improve their school standings.
It is the Learning Grove´s main mission to help students value the importance of having an education by emphasizing that learning can be fun. It also aims to motivate its students hunger for learning through learning techniques like kinesthetic learning, suggestopedic and other non-traditional teaching methods. It will also make use of the technologies that distract the youth today (like the internet) and help them use it as a tool to accelerate the students´ learning.
The Learning Grove offers its students an educational experience that is not only concerned with teaching them what they need to learn in school. They will be also offered the personal leadership development tools that will enable them to do well in school. For example, personalized learning plans and feedback sessions are strategized to be incorporated in the tutorial classes.
