I am an american living in Buzios, Brazil. I currently own a restuarant and pousada here. A piece of property has become available, that I have an inside line on. It´s a pousada with 17 rooms and a restuarant ( just being used to serve breakfast). It´s a prime property on the ocean. They are selling because of some personal family issues. Many properties of this nature are selling for minimum 1 million US. I´m trying to make a deal on this property for about $650,000. but I´m having a difficult time coming up with $500,000 to close the deal. The owners live in Argentina, and the property has been poorly administered. Somehow, it still has been able to make $80,000/year net. My plan is to move my restuarant to this location.
