Description:
DO Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization based in Detroit, MI who works with the homeless and at risk for homeless population. It was founded in 2008, however, received it's exemption in 2010. We not only work with the Detroit area, we also work around the country. We help those living on the streets get off the streets and those at risk of living on the streets sustain their housing, by connecting with other organizations, walking hand-in-hand with the individual and/or family until their needs are met. We operated solely on-call since 2008 and recently leased our first building in Detroit in 2011. We are in great need of start up funding to employ individuals in order to better serve those in need.
