Description:
Redford Karate is a family martial arts center.
We enjoy building on a foundation of self-defense with our students, and work toward the ultimate goal of black belt. Redford Karate also instills many life skills in their students such as respect, honor, coutesy, leadership, and honesty to name a few.
Our martial art remains traditional in that it is not a sport. Originally from ancient Korea, our style of karate holds true to the teachings of martial artists from thousands of years ago. We encourage the moral of "finishing what you start" with our students, and therefore have a great retention rate.
As of this writing our small business has not made any profitable growth, however, we have grown from a tiny 1,300 square foot training facility to the newly remodeled 7,000 square foot building that we are in now. We are managing to stay afloat, but would like to expand and hire more assistant instructors.
In June of 2008 we enjoyed a record setting enrollment rate for our school, 31 students in 31 days. Our goals for the next five years are to enhance our advertising and marketing department, ramp up our employee training, and open a second school right here in Metro Detroit.
