New Life Cafe is a restaurant and gluten-free bakery. I will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Everything on the menu will come in a gluten-free version. We presently have a pizza oven, a griddle, two fryers, and a char grille. We anticipate opening in July, 2011, if we get the finances we need by the end of May, 2011.
Karen Jette, who has many years of baking and managing experience, teams up with Rawjan Can Sajo, who has 15 years of pizzaria ownership experience. Karen plans to be the manager during the mornings, and Sajo plans to be there in the evenings. Sajo's wife, Nursen will be working in the kitchen as well.
We plan to offer traditional breakfasts, a variety of sandwiches, coffee and espresso drinks, scones, pastries, and dinners which include pizza, lasagna, clam cakes and clam chowder, fish and chips, steaks and grilled chicken, as well a baked potatos and salads.
We will be applying for a beer and wine license for the afternoon and evening crowd. Sajo wants to see televisions in the dining area turned to sports in the afternoons and evenings, and turned to the news in the mornings.
The dining area seats around 100 people. The cafe's location is right across the street from a U.S. Post Office and immediately adjacent to the town's senior center. It is well-trafficed. There are apartment buildings and a housing for the elderly in the vicinity of New Life Cafe. The cafe is down the road from the Town Hall. There is only one other restaurant in the area that serves breakfast/lunch until 1 pm; and one restaurant that serves lunch/dinner - it seats only 40 people at the most.
There is parking in the rear of the restaurant, and across the street at the Post Office.
