Executive Summary
In 2011 the Film & Music Industry generated 34 Billion dollars of revenue. Of this 34 Billion, 28.4% of that revenue was generated by Independent Artist and Musicians. This means 9.7 Billion dollars was generated by self-recorded, self-published and self-distributed artist, musicians, and film-makers.
In the 2010 US Census 14,927 Fulton county residents alone classified themselves as an Independent Artist or Musician. BM Music States that the average independent artist will spend 15,000 dollars yearly on recording, production, and material cost. This is 223 Million Dollars yearly in the city of Atlanta alone spent on Independent Film & Recording. Currently only Los Angeles, CA and New York City, NY have Indie recording artist that spend more than they do in Atlanta, GA.
Since 2005 there has been an astonishing rise in all of the Arts. The current economical state of our country has aided this greatly. With the recession affecting so many of us, many people who have lost jobs have been forced to follow “their dreams”. With the rise and popularity of such television shows as “American Idol”, “The Voice”, “America’s Got Talent”, and many others, millions of Americans are seeking stardom and spending money on whatever it takes to be the next “Big Thing”.
At Executive Grind Digital Studios we want to be the 1 Stop Shop for all Indie Artist needs. We will be a one of a kind facility where an artist can walk in the door:
• Filming on the largest Cyc Wall in Atlanta
• Filming on a 2,000 sq/ft Green-Screen/Chroma Key Wall
• Production of Commercials and Corporate Training Videos
• Have professional music videos and promotional videos recorded
• Have all videos professional videos professionally edited and photo-shopped
• Have their music professionally mixed and mastered
• Have all music duplicated and processed for distribution
• Have all Print material (album covers, CD inserts, promotional flyers, business cards) created and printed
• Record their album/mix-tape, or demo
• Have all videos uploaded to YouTube, WorldStar Hip Hop, MTV Jams and other video outlets
• Have a website and marketing tools generated for them
• Receive downloadable Music cards and the mobile websites that accompanies them
• Receive marketing and promotional plans to take their music to the next level
There are a few other companies in the Atlanta area that provide one or two of those of those services. But there is not a company that exists where you can walk in the door and receive all of those services at one time. Studio Space Atlanta, located 20 miles north of Atlanta offers Cyc and Green screen rentals. Studio Space ATL grossed over 3.5 million dollars last year and they are less than half the size of EGS Digital. North of Atlanta as well, Ever-Rise Inc. is the one company that receives a majority of the CD Duplication work. Ever-Rise Inc. generated a little over 1.5 Million Dollars in total sales last year. EGS Digital will provide CD duplication for the same price, speed, and efficiency but unlike the competition we will provide a host of other services.
EGS Digital currently leases an 18,000 square foot facility in down town Atlanta. This facility will house all of our studio, video, photography and production needs.
EGS Digital consists of two young Entrepreneurs, Justin T. Hall and William Starks.
