Description:
We are a small, non-profit company created to assist families of children with epilepsy as they learn about and implement the ketogenic diet as a treatment option. We aim to provide parent communication, specific diet and recipe tips and information, as well as a start-up kit. We currently have two websites with information and are in the process of hiring an office manager. We have recently filed our paperwork for 501(c)(3) status. In the near future, we would like to have funds to pay for more hours spent updating our websites, raising awareness of the ketogenic diet as a treatment option for children with intractable epilepsy, reaching out to large epilepsy websites and requesting that they provide a link to ours websites for information and assistance with the ketogenic diet, soliciting donations for business growth, soliciting donated items for our start-up kit, and distributing start-up kits for those families beginning the ketogenic diet. The ketogenic diet was first published in the 1920s by the Mayo Clinic and is currently experiencing a gain in popularity for such difficult to treat epilepsy syndromes as Doose Syndrome. The ketogenic diet is a treatment option! Our websites are: (URL removed), (URL removed)
