SEMs currently on the market begin sell at around $50,000 and go up from there. Davis and partners believe they can build one for manufacture for around $20,000. This would open opportunities for schools to purchase a unit. Another possibility for schools is a kit. They plan to have a prototype by December 1, 2012 to present to investors.
