occurs. Many professionals harbor an emotional, as well as a professional, attachment to their PPEs.
Asurance, Inc. (also referred to as “the Company”) is a Maryland-based start-up venture that will
establish operations upon receipt of funding. The Company will provide individuals and businesses
with cost-effective insurance for personal portable electronics (PPEs) such as laptops, cell phones, MP3
players, and cameras. The customer will pay a minimal monthly fee and small deductible in return for
the peace of mind, or Asurance, that their PPEs are protected against a chaotic and unpredictable
future. The policies will be available in convenient bundle packages, which allow customers to insure a
number of their PPEs (as most people own several) in one easy contract. Its policies will cover most
loss, theft, and damage not covered by warranties or homeowners’ and renters’ insurance.
