I am an American who has a vision and am passionate about starting up Eco-Tourism in the Northern Valleys of Colombia, South America. I have been travelling to Colombia for the past 10 years (2-3 times a year) and have successfully created an ongoing relationship with the people of this region. Because of this genuine relationship and the love of the region that I have established for the past 10 years, I have complete support of the townspeople of Obando Valle, the people of the region, the Mayor (Mario) and the Commander of Police (Henry)to try and bring the tourism industry to this region of Colombia. Colombia has your typical beach-front tourism on the west coast of Colombia, but nothing resembling Eco-Tourism. On top of that, in 2007, I bought a two-family home in the town. Just a reminder, Colombia is not an "undeveloped" country, Colombia is a "very well developed" and a "middleclass" country, as a whole. It is NOT a third-world country.
