Description: SEP7IMUS International Pictures is an independent feature film production company based in Monterrey, Mexico. It was founded by José Javier Ortiz, a producer and director with growing experience within the film industry in Mexico, the U.S. and Canada. He is a graduated of the Hollywood Film Institute in Los Angeles, CA and of the Mexican Independent Filmmaker's Association's Universidad del Cine in Mexico City. José Javier launched his career working as a production assistant for a local film and video production company in Monterrey, the third largest city in Mexico. In 2006, he worked as a production coordinator during the earliest pre-production stage of "Cumbia Callera", an independent movie made by fellow filmmaker Rene Villarreal and co-produced by IMCINE, PROMOCINE and Cumbia Regia Films. He is currently raising funds for a slate of commercially appealing movies, two of which are being co-produced with U.S. and Italian partners. Besides being involved in feature film production, José-Javier is also the founder of The Hollywood Workshops, an educational organization which aims to take the best of Hollywood seminars, workshops and classes to specific places where there is a lack of these type of events. His first successful seminar was in August 2008 in Monterrey, Mexico where he presented the acclaimed 2-Day Film School with Dov Simens, who claims to have taught film production to personalities such as Quentin Tarantino, Will Smith and Christopher Nolan among many more. Currently, José-Javier is considering offers to take The Hollywood Workshops seminars to specific cities in Canada and Mexico City.
