I am seeking to purchase a straight truck and a cargo van to start, to serve my local area in transportation needs. I am in contact with a broker that I am trying to set up contract with to do "last mile" transportation. If I am able to obtain this contract I will add another truck and focus on getting independent work delivering appliances, cabinets, windows, TV's, furniture, office supplies, 200 mile radius one way business to business bulk orders and small orders, occasionally 200 to 400 mile radius one way deliveries, residential request for delivery of purchased items for better priced delivery charge, and installation/removal of old unit, home improvement supplies that can be transported in a 26' box truck, home moving within the required radius. The truck will be a 26' box truck with a lift gate and a 26,000 lb. GVW (under CDL) and I will have a 3 day orientation, 40 hour driving course and 3 week on-the-job trained driver and a 3 day orientation with a 3 week on-the-job trained helper in each truck to ensure that each of my employees are well trained and aware of what is required of them. The customers will receive a customer satisfaction survey after every completed job to see how the experience went and the rating is going to be from 1 to 5 stars and I only accept the best at all times, 5 stars. I will ensure that every customer is left with a 5 star recommendation for my company. Anything less than 5 stars will receive a call to see what we can do better to make their experience a 5 star experience in all areas. In the the cargo van I am going to concentrate on home delivery service, packages, shopping & deliver services, pickup and redeliver, hotshot, same day delivery, temperature controlled handled freight, medical supplies, taxi transport to and from airport or any desired destination within 300 mile radius, as same goes with all cargo van services. The van will be a 16' Ford Transit Connect with second row seating that is removable to make extra space for cargo or left in for transporting customers and cargo together. The second business is a cleaning and window washing business that will overlap with the transportation business, in which I will seek to target repeat customers for the cleaning business which I have many years experience in. I will be mainly focusing on washing interior and exterior windows and sills and providing extra service as whole house cleanings, repeat cleanings, vacation rentals, foreclosures, bank owned, Construction, and commercial cleaning.
