Description:
As Fresh Water Grows Scarcer, It Could Become a Good Investment
In California, despite our recent winters’ rainfall totals, there simply isn’t enough developed water for the demand. This investment opportunity is for the acquisition of rights to substantial sustainable sources of clean water deliverable to Southern California communities at competitive prices with a minimum of environmental impact.
Water agencies, principally in Southern California, must find new sources for their burgeoning populations. Heretofore they have relied on water imports from the California Aqueduct, the Colorado River, the Owens River, and local groundwater. Today and continuing into the future, even with conservation efforts, those sources cannot sustain the growing populations in the region.
These agencies must acquire new sources of water and are willing to pay increasing amounts for it. Among the potential sources in use at this time, or currently contemplated, are desalination plants, wastewater recycling, and acquiring water rights from farmers in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys.
In addition to these sources there are multiple untapped aquifers in California that can be exploited as renewable and economical new sources of water. We intend to acquire land above these untapped, sustainable, and sequestered aquifers and negotiate long-term contracts to sell the water to Southern California water agencies.
Currently we are in discussions to acquire the real estate above an isolated aquifer and the rights to the water contained in it. Initial due diligence has been performed which confirms the viability of this venture.
We are seeking a capital raise of $8,000,000 over a three-year period for additional due diligence, acquisition, environmental studies, and governmental entitlements. We anticipate that the return of investment will occur by the fourth year and the annual return on investment over a twenty-year period will be, at a minimum, $6,000,000.
