in funding stage of a new regional airline that will service the smaller cities within Brazil on a hub and spoke basis as Southwest Airlines did when it started in the US. There is a need to provide both passenger and cargo services to the smaller and medium cities within Brazil that either have lost service or had no service in the past.
Our intent is to provide regional commuter services with twin engine turbo-prop aircraft such as ATR and or Q400 from the smaller municipal airports to the major regional centers within each of the states where passengers and cargo can interconnect with larger domestic and international air carriers.
There is a program that the Federal Government of Brazil will provide secondary funding provided private industry is involved and outside owners ship by foreign investors could be over 50% or greater.
Many of these smaller cities are hours driving to airports where they are able to obtain air service. We intend to help promote and enhance air travel for these smaller cities in both movement of passengers and cargo and also therefore be involved in the economic development of all Brazil.
This industry is has great potential and is not considered a risk, There are safeguards in place to ensure that the airline will have growth and investment value. Brazil is very much like China was some 15 years ago.
