I started an IT firm in 2007 and currently assist several local firms with consulting, software development and IT support. I have over 15 years of IT experience and several in customer/client relations. My company consists of 1 FT employee, myself, and a couple of partners; one who is an experienced and talented developer. We recently focused on a Health Economics client and took their model in healthcare and created a patent pending enterprise online platform to deliver analysis data to hospitals. This prompted the birth of a new company which we are partners in building. This entity has clients and we are working with a VC group to help us get to the next level (should they come on board), which would be the creation of additional products and to build out our platform. So while our IT company has not seen great revenue growth, we have managed to stay in business and become involved in some promising ventures. We are looking to see if we can get another product off the ground, which would require some investment. My team is excellent in data visualization and data mining, we are looking to develop a platform and data engine around wine and spirits information. We have pitched this plan in business plan competitions and have had good reactions, we finished 2nd in a Yale competition. I would be happy to discuss this further.
