Description: We are a small farm that raises heritage and pasture raised beef, pork and lamb. Over the last few years we have sold our meat in retail form. The only way to make money farming is to do your own marketing and take out the middle man, controlling your prices. We bought our farm in 2000 not having the intention of farming. We were looking for a country home. We started raising our own meat when we learned about factory farming. This snowballed into a successful micro business. We now sell to 7 top restaurants in western NY and have a retail location in Buffalo. We still continue to sell at farmers Markets. The problem is that we have outgrown our farm. We are in line to purchase a new farm that would meet and exceed our needs. The problem is that our taxes showed a loss for the last three years as per the advice of our accountant. No banks will help us and we cannot expand. We are already the premier meat producer in the area and are poised to be the only producer to fill the niche of local, humane, natural meats. We currently have a waiting list of restaurants and there are other markets we could attend if we could expand. We really need a chance. Thank You!
