Description: The Pavilion is a new concept in member-based clubs that is going to redefine the club experience, and reshape the face of health, fitness and wellbeing. Unique in the marketplace, The Pavilion is an “immersive, nourishing environment where 21st century health therapies meet traditional wellness to create a joyful, engaging, and rejuvenating experience.” Happiness and health go hand in hand. Yet, it’s become clear that our healthcare system is failing to deliver on its promises. Nearly half of all American’s today are suffering from chronic and degenerative disease, most of which is preventable. We’ve also learned that exercise and fitness alone is not enough to maintain good health. What’s the answer? The Pavilion. The Pavilion gives people direct access to the latest in health science and an array of modalities and technologies which are being incorporated more and more into organizations like the Mayo Clinic… because they work. These healing solutions include pulsed electro-magnetic field and far infrared therapies, ozone and oxygen saunas, micro-current bio-modulators, and whole body vibration machines. In 2009, the National Institutes of Health’s National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine reported that more than a third of American adults visited some form of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) provider, and total visits to CAM providers (2005) exceeded those to primary-care physicians, adding up to annual out-of-pocket costs for CAM exceeding $27 billion. This number is comparable to out-of-pocket expenditures for all US physician services. While the demand for these CAM technologies has been growing at a relentless pace, nobody has been able to provide a pathway for direct access by the public at large… until now. This, coupled with the strong demand for fitness and health clubs, is the market and the opportunity for The Pavilion. The Pavilion’s full range of offerings goes beyond physical health to also stimulate the mind and spirit, and to help community members enjoy a better quality of life. For example, The Pavilion features an upscale café and lounge serving wholesome foods, and organic beers and wines (license permitting); also offered are a compendium of cooking and food classes; a wide range of seminars; smart living exhibits, hot mineral baths and much more. The Pavilion is destined to become a leader in its class; creating value by meeting the needs of the community, and by making real health, something priceless… more accessible and affordable. Helmed by an experienced management and medical team, the first Pavilion is slated to open in the Washington, DC market in 2012, with expansion nationwide in the years following. Please contact Jim Grapek, Managing Director, to learn how you can be part of this exciting vision.
