Description:
I began my sole proprietorship of a Music Publishing, Distribution, Sync Licensing & Artist Management company this past February/March of 2020, during phase I of the Covid19 Pandemic. Not realizing the pandemic would stem longer than anyone could fathom, I also serve as a District Grammy Advocate meeting with Congress Rep and the Recording Academy to ensure all Music Creators are being compensated and looked out for with respect to the MMA act and recently the Hits Act. My business has a vast amount of potential due to my passion, experience, industry mentor, and diverse genres of music with respect to Artists and all genres. Last, I am a Women who is also a Black-Owned or Minority-Owned Small Business, simply trying to stay afloat and have a fair shot at succeeding in my industry that is heavy dominated by males, along with the fact that Houston is lacking when it comes to the Music entertainment or Production services. Therefore, I would like to change the dynamic with respect to bringing more opportunities with the great talent located in the great state of Texas. I not only believe this would be a great outlet for all creatives in the music of any kind, but also a nice way to stimulate the economy, provide a hobby or classes/workshops for free or a low cost at least for children, the elderly and the less fortunate youth because many would love the opportunity to go to another studio or record label in their city of Houston-home of Beyonce! It's actually mind-boggling that we have not created more within that area, and honestly, the only label you hear dominating the south or Houston is respectfully Rap-A-Lot Records. I believe that collectively there should be an option for all genres of music, more of an option like Universal Music Group or similar to Sony Music Publishing, those are labels that generate heavy revenue. I firmly believe that if I /my company was given the opportunity to receive some Angel investor funding of some sort possibly more than I listed, well I think Texas (Houston) would be an even better city, by simply associating the one language we all love and know which is music! Please consider my business plan, while I draft up a more professional pitch. Last I do believe, it would also help resolve a lot of the increased crime in my city since the pandemic has created a jobless and desperate outlet for many who don't have guidance or access to affordable studio time, mentorship, and competitive record company/publishing deals, which we could make profitable on our back end with owning not all but a majority of masters, which is my business plan in a broad spectrum (extended pitch).
