Introduction
LBD Marketing is an outbound call center that primarily services software resellers of Microsoft, Sage, SAP and other products. The company also provides marketing services to IT managed services companies, website developers and others in the technology industry. LBD Marketing has also completed campaigns for financial advisors and insurance companies.
Moving Forward
Opportunities exist that require growth capital to fully realize, as follows:
• Potential clients have approached LBD Marketing with offers for limited partnership opportunities. Under these situations, LBD would dramatically limit direct costs of campaigns to participate in a percentage of the goods and services sold. One client recently reported over $410,000 revenue in two sales made from LBD generated leads. This dollar amount does not include additional revenue gained through long-term support and training agreements.
• Due to current economic conditions, several LBD Marketing clients see the need to use a multi-touch marketing approach, which the company does not currently offer. Becoming a true “one stop shop” for marketing would make the company a more viable choice to a larger market of potential clients, and would require a minimal investment. Additional services our clients have expressed interest in include print, electronic, and event marketing.
• LBD Marketing is a Sage Software Preferred Vendor, which makes it one of only a handful of companies authorized to support the full mid-market solution set for Sage’s 1,400 resellers in these categories. The program allows resellers to charge up to 70% of services to their cooperative funding – a VERY attractive proposition for them. This is one of the main sources of new business for LBD Marketing and is continually increasing.
• LBD Marketing has been presented with multiple opportunities to provide in-bound calling service and sales support for both local and nationwide B2C service providers. Taking advantage of these opportunities would increase the company’s gross profit margin significantly while allowing it to become more stable during rough times for specific verticals.
Conclusion
Over the past 23 months, LBD Marketing has acquired an average of one new client every 1.5 weeks. Its reputation in the marketplace continues to grow, and its location can handle up to 400% growth. Knowledge and experience with an increasing list of products continues, and growing experience with seasonal fluctuation in industry buying trends is providing valuable business forecasting capabilities.
One great advantage LBD Marketing has over its competitors and other companies is its expertly assembled team of personnel. Rather than suffer an industry average 80-100% annualized turnover of traditional telemarketing and telesales operations, LBD Marketing enjoys an industry low of less than 30%. This is accomplished through the stringent use of behavioral assessments as a pre-employment routine to identify only those candidates equipped for the rigors of daily outbound calling.
LBD Marketing is a business with an ability few organizations possess – the inherent ability to apply its own product to generate new business for itself. Early efforts to “self-generate” business were limited. Over time and with experience gained, a business development campaign started and is now netting more solid contacts and proposals sent than anything previously.
LBD Marketing is now perfectly poised to grow into the next phase of its history.
