American Lightning's vision is to build hybrid electric vehicles different then anyone before. New key technologies will now allow us to progress leaps and bounds over previous hybrid electric vehicles. American Lightning will be building hybrid electric vehicles built on three key technologies.
The first key technology is the use of wheel motors. Using wheel motors, or electric motors in the wheels of the vehicle, eliminates the entire driveline of a traditional gas or diesel vehicle.
The second key technology is the use of Nano phosphate batteries. These batteries are far superior to any battery in use today. A123 the supplier of Nano Phosphate batteries has worked extensively with the automotive industry and is already producing automotive grade battery packs for the industry today.
Third is the inclusion of a patented specially designed generator motor that can recharge the vehicle while driving, generating up to 150 miles per gallon. The vehicle will be recharged in 1 hour using only two gallons of fuel, recharging the batteries for a 300 mile range. By combining key technologies and components that are assembled right here in the United States of America, American Lightning will be able to develop, design, implement, manufacture sell and market new Hybrid Vehicles quenching the customers thirst for highly fuel efficient quality vehicles.
