Description:
Business Summary:
Founded in March 2004, JES Innovations Incorporated engineers, develops, manufactures, and markets premium automotive accessories. The X-Treme Gate Slide-Out Truck Bed Extender is JES’ first product. Our engineers are currently in the process of designing and patenting other products. This business plan outlines a financial vehicle, agreeable to the principals, to facilitate the future production and marketing of the X-Treme Gate Slide-Out Truck Bed Extender as well as future automotive accessories. JES owns two Patents on one product and is Patent Pending on four others.
Services Provided:
JES Innovations’ customers are offered affordable solutions to better serve their cargo management needs.
Target Market:
The target market is automotive manufacturers, dealerships, automotive accessory stores, online retailers, automotive accessory catalogs, etc. and ultimately; vehicle owners and their family and friends.
We recently placed very well in General Motor’s (GM) market evaluation and are in favorable consideration for an OEM agreement with them as well as with Nissan North America.
Business Model:
JES Innovations, Inc. is a California “C” Corporation and as such will make direct profits from units sold at the Wholesale, Dealer, and Consumer Direct levels as well as from licensing agreements with other manufacturer’s whom may acquire the rights to produce our products.
Competitors (X-TREME GATE):
Out of the many cargo bed extender designs currently on the market, the “X-tender” by Amp Research (an option for Ford, Toyota, and Nissan pickup trucks) has been the most successful. Yet, it has more than a couple drawbacks to its design. First, it does not fold up for easy stowage. Second, in order to load cargo at the end of the cargo bed, one must completely remove the bulky extender from the vehicle and set it out of the way. Third, the unit is easily unlatched from the vehicle making it susceptible to theft. Other similar products are produced by Westin, Top Line, and etc, which have all or more of the same drawbacks as the X-tender.
Competitive Advantage:
The X-TREME GATE is designed for compact stowage, simple operation (the X-TREME GATE remains folded up and out of the way while loading and unloading your cargo bed), durability, installs permanently to your vehicle, and the end panel is a solid or semi-solid design, which not only helps secure your valuable belongings from falling out, it also helps keep them safely out of sight from behind.
The convenience, design, and appeal of JES Innovations, Inc.’s products which are provided at a competitive price give JES a clear advantage over the competition.
Exit Strategy:
JES Innovations, Inc. understands that the objective of investment is to garner a lucrative return for investors. The target is 10-15 times return on investment at five years of operation. To support that aim, JES Innovations, Inc. will be structured in such a way as to keep several options open to ensure that funding partners receive their return on investment. Options for divestiture include buyout, acquisition, merger, and IPO. The most likely option is buyout by a large manufacturer. Other options include licensing the manufacturing/distributing rights to a third party while maintaining ownership rights to the intellectual property.
All options to ensure return on investment will be considered to maximize returns.
