There are approximately 146.8 million computer users in the United States alone, and about two-thirds of them will experience low-back pain at some point in their lives. Rest-A-Desk is a start-up firm that will manufacture and sell a patent-protected, lightweight reclinable computer workstation uniquely suited to relieve and prevent pain in the user's back, shoulders and neck. Replacing their old computer desks with Rest-A-Desk, users will save lost time and medical costs directly attributable to the productivity loss from pain. A positive innovation for healthcare, business, and entertainment applications, even conservative estimates promise a massive demand for Rest-A-Desk.
Rest-A-Desk hopes to successfully secure start-up financing of $60,000 in summer 2015 in order to design and build the first Rest-A-Desk model (minimum viable product) by Dec. '15. Being the world's first with our innovation, we predict total sales revenues will allow the start-up investment to be paid off within 18 months of product launch.
