Founder Jeff Cohen has created a unique and much needed product that will appeal to everyone. Cohen, who has himself been a diabetic for fifteen years was frustrated while trying to find a snack that not only did not cause a spike in his blood sugar, but that also tasted good. He finally decided to create his own and Granola Gourmet was born.
Jeff used the Glycemic Index as his guide and was able to find ingredients that could make a tasty snack with a low Glycemic Impact. Diabetics and Athletes care about managing and reducing sugars impact on the body as much as possible. His family experimented with the ingredients and finally created granola bars that became an awesome snack.
