I have a great product idea, with a niche market - teenagers to young adults. The product expands on an existing product, and once I have a prototype, I intend to market it to industry leaders such as Sony, Beats, etc. I am in the design phase, and need to run a patent search. I need to retain an attorney, and a design engineer, so I up front I anticipate I will need $50K - mostly on product design. I will also need to pay a retainer fee, and file the patent.
