Description:
JobCrank Inc. is a web based service which helps employers advertise job openings, and every day consumers find work. We are different from other services in that we focus on business relationships between all individuals and entities, and blur the lines of who is classified as an employer and employee. We see that every individual contributes to our service industry, and at some point employs the help of someone else. Parents employ child care providers. Home owners employ general contractors. Businesses hire employees. In our view, these are all service relationships, and this is what we focus on. With our service, any member can post any job.
The market we are targeting is small to medium sized employers (with under 250 employees). This market is made up of local franchises, clerical positions, hair stylists, and other small businesses. We are targeting this market because it is currently underserved and excluded by the flat pricing models of our competitors, but makes up over 48% of the employment market (over 22.3 million jobs annually) in the US. Our competitors charges fees of $350 and up for 30 day job postings, which works well for professional positions and larger franchises who bulk advertise a position, but does not work for small independent businesses. Rather, they tend to turn towards local print classifieds, or services like (URL removed).
Our initial marketing efforts will be focused on the Florida market, which makes up 5.8% of the national market, plus has many key advantages for us. Our online PPC market will focus primarily on the Florida market as well, but 20% will be devoted to a national promotion. So even though we are focusing local on Florida, we do have a online only campaign focusing nationally.
OUR PRIMARY IP IS DEVELOPED, and live now. We are ready for a quick startup. I am looking for startup capital (1.6M) to launch the business plan, and expect quick growth with this in the current market. I am willing to share a substantial portion of ownership (45%), and even control. I am very open to outside opinion with this. My long term goal is to build up our user base and profitability enough to have a third party purchase the company (I have a few in mind) in 3-4 years, which would be the optimal exit strategy.
