Executive Summary
Introduction: The Purpose of UNWEB is to enable the fulfillment of social needs throughout the world through a global social networking site and applications that acts as a profile, communication, marketing and posting forum. The World Exchange Group, Inc (WEG) is a United States based profit corporation that will sell advertising space, posting opportunities, take donations and process micro loans while providing a community forum through its online platform and website to users. WEG was founded in 2008 by Jason Blair. In total, the company seeks $5 million funding to execute its business plan.
As an integrate part of the strategy, UNWEB will allocate a percentage of top line revenues to a UNWEB Foundation – a 501c3 nonprofit status, which shall invest or donate funding to projects in less fortunate countries, focusing on green and environmental projects, agricultural practices, knowledge sharing and the eradication of diseases.
The Site: Social networking websites like Facebook, LinkedIn and MySpace have become a business phenomenon in the last five years. WEG’s mission is to build more than just a social networking website but instead focus on extending the applications services into a global niche business trade solution. Users that enroll on the website’s online directory will be provided with a forum that they can use to connect to other enrolled members. Each user will have a profile their showcases personal information and insight into their daily lives, economic business directives and social endeavors. WEG’s global social networking application will use a high impact marketing campaign and use of partnering United Nations Economic and Social Counsel (ECOSOC) Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) that will drive a tremendous amount of traffic to the website and application. The third section of the business plan will further describe the services offered by the social networking application.
Investment: WEG is seeking to raise $5 million from investors, grants or foundational monies. The funds will be used for the following:
1. Development of WEG’s online platform
2. Sufficient development capital to cash flow break-even
3. Financing for WEG’s marketing and distribution strategies
Company: The World Exchange Group, Incorporated (WEG) has been working on creating a social networking trade system, called The United Nations World Exchange Board (UNWEB). It is an internet-based technology that will enable various entities to engage in social and economic exchanges globally. The technology is designed to allow the free organization, identification, and execution of trade between interested parties in all various categories of economic and social interests provided for by each organization, their affiliates and members.
Objectives: The WEG will assist in the processing of developing project placements and specific international developments for certain indigenous sophisticates, and become a preferred leader in facilitating social opportunities. The WEG will be a company that seeks innovative ways to better the web based financial solutions and relationships between organizations and UN NGO affiliated organizations. The WEG’s mission, in part will be responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting the UNWEB. A high level overview of the technology would be best compared to eBay and LinkedIn and Facebook technologies with a global focus on specific procurements relating to economic financial transactions and social procurements through participating exchanges WEG and their members control. The scope will be to create data placements to drive global economic and social activities to all participating organizations by creating data buckets (defined organization interests) that link with countries, indigenous opportunist, micro firms, universities, indigenous people, associations, foundations, institution, media, and private sectors. WEG will build global databases, that allow members to easily:
1. Engage in a social and business collaboration exchanges
2. Market their economic and social objectives
3. Insert (Post) needs or opportunities to the UNWEB
4. Search and receive needs or opportunities from the UNWEB
5. Make a Microloan through the UNWEB
6. Make a donation to the UNWEB or to participating organizations
Challenges Facing the Market: To stay competitive, companies must be agile in adapting their business processes to the ever-changing market dynamics. The adaptive business process based enterprises should look beyond the traditional enterprises and marketplaces through collaborative interactions and dynamic e-business solution bindings. The enterprise infrastructure has to provide the capability for dynamic discovery of trading partners and service providers as well as enabling federated security mechanisms, solution monitoring and management. A simple example of one of the reasons why The United Nations World Exchange Board idea was conceived is this; if a farmer in Canada has a surplus of grain and the government of Indonesia is in need of that grain but does not know it is available, then both countries lose because they have no way of knowing the other’s needs. To this point, recently in 2009, Denmark had a very productive harvest. Because of the surplus the government ended up burning a large percentage of their domestic crops. Unfortunately, crops were burnt in Denmark while other countries were scrambling to meet the needs of its people with the limited resources that are on hand. There are some programs available to remedy this situation, but none will be advanced as the United Nations World Exchange Board.
Business Strategy: The WEG will create a collaborative exchange board that links all members in a global forum by allowing them to facilitate economic and social activities based on their own needs or the needs of any participating entities activities. The economic and social activities are broken down into buckets and/or by organizations. Business networking by organizations will be segmented into these economic and/or social activities. Our technology will separate these activities where members can collaborate, post jobs, bid on or post their own projects, display their personal and business interests, and facilitate social and economic exchanges. A nation trades because it lacks the raw materials, climate, specialist labor, capital or technology needed to manufacture a particular good. Global trade on The United Nations World Exchange Board allows a greater variety of goods and services. Having an exchange board will also allow bidding, which in turn will bring in line the cost of products.
Management: WEG was founded by Jason Blair. Mr. Blair has more than 10 years of international relations and experience in designing and building web applications for the online and internet industry. Each member of WEG’s executive management team has an average of 20 plus years plus in building enterprise level applications globally, working with the UN, IMF and World Bank. Through their expertise, they will be able to bring the operations of the business to profitability within twenty-four to thirty-six months of operations.
Capital Resources: The initial scope of this project and assumptions will be offered as part of the World Exchange Group, Inc. business plan.
