I would like to start a for-profit record label. One that is not necessarily in the business of recording artist, but one being more on the promotional side. The label would find events to promote an artist, their music, and even venturing into the management side by finding engagements and collaborations with other record labels. The scope of the record label will not be limited to any genre, but open to any the company would be able to evaluate and promote. I would like the label to also offer a venue to help the label's artist and even other label's artist perform to have their music known. The plan I have researched and believe will work to promote these artist through venues, is to pay other more well known artist to perform or host performances at the label's venue to draw eager fans and a crowd. Where the label's artist and other label artist would perform and be broadcasted in front of a crowd.
