Description:
When I was a little girl, Aunt Kay always had something "made from the heart" in her cookie jar that made me feel special. It was her inspiration that led me to bake for my friends and always at the holidays for our family. Georgetown has a population of approximately 50,000 and we do not have a bakery. I have always been encouraged by people to open one. A large portion of our growth is due to Sun City, a self-sustained retirement community that has not stopped building (adding another 1600 homes) as well as the age group of 30-40 year olds with growing families and of course, Southwestern University. Having the capital to start this business correctly, would create more jobs as well as fill a void in the town. I have a background in real estate, management at the Department of Treasury and just recently, resigned my position as Bank Manager at a top 3 national financial institution. Based on reports and research, comfort foods survive recessions!
