I plan to open a retail leather shop. In Georgia, there is currently only one place to go--Tandy Leather Factory. They carry a limited selection of leathercraft supplies and tend to market to an older generation. Tandy is a big corporation with headquarters in Texas, therefore they think everyone is interested in the old west style. However, there is a new fresh market where young designers are beginning to work with leather and they are forced to buy their products online. Leather people are "touchy feely" people who perfer to see and touch their products before they buy. Therefore, I have no doubt that my shop would be a success. I previously worked at Tandy.
