Zantigo Mexican Fast Food Restaurant. In the early 80's this Minnesota/Wisconsin Based restaurant was bought out by Tricon Industries/Pepsi, in order to seed the Minnesota market with Taco Bell without having competition. As part of the sales transaction, Zantigo was asked to sign a 15 year no-compete.
Two brothers who worked for Zantigo, bought the brand name and secret ingredients/recipes for their food products. During the 15 year no-compete, the two brothers owned and operated several Subway Restaurants gaining the knowledge necessary to evolve their own franchise.
