Description:
This is to be a browser based web applications development and deployment system. The undergirding code and metadata is based upon PHP and MySQL respectively. The intended target client base is small businesses and NGO's that cannot otherwise afford fairly expensive programming staff but know their businesses and their data processing needs. Another potential user base will be DBA's who need quick and short term solutions for specific data processing tasks. It will use Wizard type forms to design the application pages but also include powerful formula and filter generators to handle real world day-to-day data processing requirements as well as web tasks like portals and CMS. The base rate for a small business's account would start at $15.00 per month and would allow an unlimited number of applications to be run under that account. The usage allowance would be calculated assuming an office of 10 users doing data entry tasks 8 hours a day. Additional charges would also apply for SSL and data storage, i.e. Storing their data on our servers rather than their own (either local or remote). Currently the core metadata exists as a MySQL database with nearly 60 tables. The core development environment exists as a basic browser based development toolkit built using a bootstrap process, the application being developed was the toolkit itself. I project that another 6 months to a year of development time is needed to bring the system online.
