Description: WarFace Anti-Piracy Strategies WarFace is a young emerging company that will change the face of illegal downloading. We will not stop piracy but compete with it on such an effective level, that it will be severely hampered. Our main area of expertise is the illegal downloading of PC gaming media, but we have further plans to protect other areas such as movies and software. The average PC game loses, at maximum, 13 million euros (18.7 million dollars) over a six month period. There are 10 big publishing houses, worldwide, and each one releases 8-13 PC games per year. WarFace obtained this figure from an illegal downloading experiment conducted on the torrent networks. The graphs and results can be seen here: (URL removed) The current way of dealing with the illegal downloading of PC games is to use software called a DRM, Digital Rights Management. A DRM resides on the DVD game and stops people from accessing the digital media. However the average amount of time that a downloader has to wait for an illegal game is -0.58 days. (URL removed) Yes, illegal downloaders often get their hands on the games before the official release date in retail shops. This is devastating as games have a short shelf life, and sales plateau after 2-3 weeks. Our solution is simple; we do not waste efforts disrupting or trying to stop piracy. But we make it difficult and inconvenient, then at the same time we offer illegal downloaders convenience and alternative options. We want to entice and encourage illegal downloaders to become loyal and satisfied customers. We have had many years of experience in digital piracy, illegal downloading and the whole sharing economy. WarFace understands piracy and how to effectively stop it, and none of the current methods, laws, and restrictions are working. This will just drive piracy deeper into secrecy, where no lawyer or government official will be able to prove anything. To learn more, please visit our website: (URL removed)
