I am looking for either an investor to help fund website development or a web developer who is willing to work for equity to develop my site.
The idea is for users to create free accounts and choose the outcome of sporting events to win prizes. There will be a nationwide/worldwide leader board. Users can create private groups to challenge their friends similar to fantasy football. Web 2.0 user submitted sports news will be an important feature as well. There is a unique twist to these ideas that I will not discuss without first having the interested party sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Income from the site will be generated from several routes, not just advertising. However, as I stated above, it is completely free to make an account and also to win prizes.
There is currently no competitor to this idea in the way I envision it. There are loosely similar sites that seem to be quite popular that do not take advantage of what my idea has the potential to. Every guy interested in sports between the ages of 14-50 will be very interested in this, again, similar to fantasy football.
