Magazines for Troops is a nonprofit
organization based in Lakeside, Montana
and was formed to fill a common request
by our deployed troops;
A need for reading material.
MagazinesForTroops distributes boxes of
new and old magazines
to our deployed men and women
who are serving America in any branch of service.
The intention is to remind
these brave warriors
they are not forgotten!
Each box contains an average of 40 magazines,
including at least 30 different titles.
The idea is to cover a broad range of subjects
to satisfy a large variety of interests.

How does The Monthly Reader’s Service Help?
In early 2012 Jacob Paul, volunteer with
The Monthly Reader’s Service
contacted Donna Chase,
owner, of the nonprofit organization

After hearing how her company was
sending mainly used magazines
to over 70 deployed units; We asked,
“Does a soldier really want to read
a four year old National Geographic?”
Well, we’re sure they won’t turn them down
but; what if we were able to send out
BRAND NEW subscriptions to keep our soldiers
updated and informed with current events?
Since most of us know that the Internet, Cable
and Communications are limited,
if available at all.
We set it up where our soldiers can pick the magazines,
then, MagazinesForTroops Approves the choices,
(Sorry guys, NO PLAYBOY or Skin Mags sent, except Maxim)
and The Monthly Reader's Service sends the subscriptions
to MagazinesForTroops where they will be shipped out
to our men and women, proudly serving.

Magazines for Troops is a nonprofit organization, and is operated solely by donations. Currently, postage for the flat-rate box we use to send magazines is $11.35 per box. Donation checks, for any amount, can be made out to Magazines for Troops,
