Description:
Looking for funding/partner in purchasing a Game Farm, incorporating a Sport Farm for Children. The focus will be on providing top class coaching to children within a Game Farm environment. Children from all over, overseas and local, as well as professional sport teams will be targeted.
South Africa is known for its sunshine, wide open spaces, wildlife and sport. Now for the first time in South Africa the activities of a Game Ranch will be combined with sport and team building activities in conjunction with eco-tourism. The ranch will be managed in accordance with a very carefully developed management plan:
1. During the winter months (Hunting Season) all resources will be allocated towards the hunting activities and eco-tourism on the farm. Registered Professional Hunters will assist and accompany overseas and local hunters on hunting trips. Hunters will be accommodated on the farm in luxury chalets in carefully planed hunting camps. Hunting concessions will be put on tender.
2. Outside of the hunting season all resources will be allocated towards eco-tourism, sport and teambuilding activities, with the emphasis on social and life skills development. Teams will be accommodated on the farm in luxury chalets. All lectures will be presented on the farm in a specially adopted open area covered with a thatch roof. Here the General Manager, Mr. Ebersohn, with his international sport connections and contacts will play a major role in establishing a constant flow of group visitors to the farm.
All practical sport activities will take place on specially develop sport fields and recreation facilities. A specially designed gymnasium will be established on the farm.
All other teambuilding and life skills development activities will take place on the farm in a game farm environment.
Great emphasis will be placed on eco-tourism:
? Special Day and night game drives
? Game walks
? Photographic Safari’s
? Unique horseback trails
? A special children playing area will be available
? S.E.A.T – Sanjanu Eco Adventure Trail (Quad Bike Safaris)
3. Part of the farm, about 40 hectares, will be transformed and utilized for Emu farming:
The Emu is principally farmed for low-fat meat, high quality leather and oil. Emu oil has a reputation largely derived from its traditional use over hundreds of years by the Australian Aboriginals. Western Australia was the first State in Australia to allow commercial emu farming in 1970, with approval being given in Queensland in 1987 to the Cherbourg Aboriginal Community to capture 300 wild emus for a primary breeding stock.
Emu farming in South Africa began in 1994 with the importation of two lots of birds. Since that time, the population of these ratites has grown to about 8000.
Any stock producing industry starts with a breeding phase where the breeding population has to grow to a size to produce enough offspring for slaughter. South Africa is still in the in the breeding phase, where most commercial Emu farmers make their money from selling live birds.
There is no similar venture in South Africa. Farm will be in the very safe area of the North West Province, close to the Botswana border.
Farm will be bought by a Trust or a Company of which the investor will have a 45% shareholding. Farm will be managed by a team of very competent managers and coaching will be done by qualified sport coaches.
