Description:
Talking Ed Productions is the LLC for the feature film I'm producing in Oregon titled "Let's Do It," the main location of which will be The University Of Oregon. Oregon offers a 25 to 26% production rebate as a part of an extensive economic development program.
When a production company films in Oregon, almost all expenses incurred in Oregon (labor and materials) are rebateable. The rebates are an asset owned by the production company.
The presale of rebates for 70--85% of CPA audited projected rebate values allows me to use that revenue to reduce the direct investment I am soliciting in order to fund "Let's Do It," a 1929 period comedy revolving around two enterprising U of O students who set out to make the first student film and naively ask the famed Hollywood Director Cecil B. Demille to help them. He does by lending them a fine 35 mm camera and his favorite cinematographer. Through a comedy of many errors, they succeed. Though fictionalized, "Let's Do It" is based on fact.
No money will be spent until all budgeted investment and a film completion bond are in place.
The purchaser of the rebate will receive 100%+ of the projected rebate amount, earning 25--26%+ ROI in under a year. They will also receive a percentage of the film's profits.
We have a complete script and business plan available for review.
