Description:
Operation Kreative Comfort would serve as an artistic conduit to children in protective police custody while waiting for the Department of Children and Family Services to place them in homes or with family. OKC staff members will do artistic activities at the police station with children. My research and interviews with police officers have shown that children remain in protective custody w/ police officers an average of 4 hours. That's where OKC comes in. After successfully passing a background check and interviewing process OKC would be on call and work in conjunction with the Department of Children and Family Services and local Police departments.
