Description: Providing Enhanced Fastening Stability Overview Affix Technologies Pte Ltd is a fastening devices development company that intends to design, develop, patent, license and market its proprietary platform technology to various industries. Incorporated in Singapore on 3rd August 2010 and having its corporate address at: Penthouse Level, Suntec Tower Three, 8 Temasek Boulevard, Singapore 038988. Current Needs and Challenges Loosening of screws/bolts & nuts are major concerns in almost all industries such as automotives, aerospace, railroads, construction and medical. Thread wear & tear and new robust applications expose us to greater risk of screw loosening due to constant motions/vibrations. Users continually seek better solutions to enhance the stability and pull-out strength of the fasteners used. There is currently an unmet market for a fastening device that would allow the engagement of a nut where accessibility to the ‘back-end’ of the bolt is limited or impossible. Such as engaging a nut to a bolt used onto a hollow pipe. The Solution The affix system, a new generation, proprietary platform technology which allows the insertion of a screw that has better stability and ‘pull-out’ strength through its unique ‘fastening’ technique. Its technology also allows for a solution to an unmet market: accessing the ‘back-end’ for nut engagement in confine spaces or impossible situations. The affix second generation technology has the capability of a reduction/extension mechanism. Benefits •versatility & adaptability to any screw design and application •improved pull-out strength •smaller/safer entry access – does not sacrifice pull-out strength with smaller diameters •enabling minimally invasive procedures (ideal for medical applications) •able to perform a reduction/extension between two components or parts to be fastened in a blind hole application Intent We seek partners to develop and license this technology with the intent to exploit and globally commercialize the affix technology platform for numerous applications. . . . where today’s standard is just not good enough.
