The @Jack is a plug & play mini-modem device, service and smart phone app that connects the
user to the internet using a patent pending 2.55mm headphone jack modem which plugs into the
universal 2.55mm jack. This allows for broadband connectivity on an “on demand“ basis and
obviates the need to purchase a subscription or monthly data plan from a cellular carrier. This
access is on a time decremented (by the minute) rather than bandwidth consumption basis and
can save the typical end user 50% or more of what they currently spend for data. The @Jack also
provides connectivity to those who do not have an existing data plan on their handset. The @Jack
will work on any Android, iPhone or Blackberry handset as well as an iPad or other tablet.
Additionally, with the use of the included patent pending @Jack USB “@dapter”, the 2.55mm
modem slips into the attachment, becoming a standard USB modem that can be used on any
laptop or desktop to provide internet access on demand without the need for any contract, cable or
DSL service.
