Description: I am currently in the creation stage. I have identified the location which is prime. We will be serving hot dogs and Italian Beef sandwiches. There is no competition here in Smithfield for this type of business. The economy is down but I feel that people will still frequent a hot dog place. The ones I have visited across the river are doing landmark business. I have met with counselors from SCORE (SBA) who are in agreement that this type of business should work. I do not have any collateral or personal savings to invest, however, I do have a burning desire to make this venture work. I am totally willing to invest 12+ hours each day in making sure this business takes off and thrives with the ultimate goal of opening several more restaurants in other locations. I have had this idea ever since moving here to VA almost 5 years ago. The people of VA should have an opportunity to try a decent hot dog. The ones you purchase here taste like bologna. I will be introducing various condiments to serve "Chicago Dogs" "New York Dogs" "Coney Dogs" and Italian Beef sandwiches (you cannot find them here). I am in need of an investor to assist me in attaining a SBA backed investment loan. My focus would be to repay that loan as quickly as possible and then reinvest my profits into this location to make it a landmark spot, just as it once was here in Smithfield for many, many years. The location is at the entry corridor of the beautification district. Smithfield will appreciate our efforts in reclaiming this property. I have worked in the food service industry for a total of 14 years. I have office experience and plan to do my bookeeping using Quickbooks Pro. I am very organized and driven to succeed. I would be very grateful for the opportunity to make this venture work.
