Description:
A passion shouldn't be ignored. It should be ignited.
Holly Eve, an elementary school teacher for over twenty-five years ignited her own dream of becoming an entrepreneur just over a year ago at an age when most women are retiring.
Holly's story is inspiring to say the least, and a poignant reminder that it is never too late in life to take a chance.
Since founding black & light in April 2007 Holly has created a very successful brand and brand identity and built a cutting-edge technology infrastructure that is cutting edge. Already Holly and her company have been recognized in mainstream media, by bloggers, and Adobe.
In addition to designing magical candles that uniquely glow from top to bottom, Holly makes a point of giving back to her local community and worthy causes. She uses Grand Traverse Industries to fulfill internet and wholesale orders which employs mentally and/or physically disabled people who are unable to obtain gainful employment elsewhere. In addition, she is partnering with the University of California Davis on its Save the Honey Bees campaigns and research by donating ten percent of net proceeds from the sale of black & light “Bees” candles. She is currently pursuing an arrangement with St. Jude's Children's Hospital with the goal of featuring the “Hope” logo on specially-designed black & light candles with all profits benefiting St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
