Description:
On-Deck is a non-profit organization geared to allow high
school students in inner-cities to attend a free after school program
and learn one of a variety of aspects of hip-hop culture. Students
will enroll in the year long program of their choice where they will
learn every aspect of that program from terminology and basics to
final performance and career stages. Students will learn through
hands-on training with local perfessionals, as well has performance
experience, career training and teaching experience of their own. Upon
enrollment, students will be held to a strict moral code in order to
remain in the program with rules regarding mantaining strong grades
and attendance in school, remaining in good standing in the community
as role models, and giving back to their community through teaching
and public service opportunities made available by the program.
