Description: The 2028 Olympics in LA will bring the game of squash to the US public’s attention. This is the best time to bring the game into public schools. Squash is not a popular sport in the US. Efforts to grow the game include building squash courts outdoors. An outdoor court won’t create new players if no one knows what it is. As one man who built an outdoor court at a public park found, "I thought it was a great idea, and that kids would get involved. If I built it, they would come. But they didn’t.” If the kids won’t go to the outdoor squash court, then we have to bring the court to the kids. Bringing squash to public schools will create an accessible avenue to the game, breaking down the current barriers of race, gender, and, socio-economic status. I believe squash will grow if we innovate and pursue diversity and inclusion. I am seeking investors to help develop and construct a squash court that can be used in a high school gym. It will be called the Murphy Squash Court because, like a Murphy bed, the panels will fold in on each other so the court can be located against a wall when not in use. Creating a prototype and test product is the next step in building such a court. For this I am in need of investors who are interested in bringing squash to a wider audience.
