Description: T and T Transit Inc. is a school student tranportation company. It has been working for the Pittsburgh School District sence 1995, and has been under contract with Pittsburgh Public Schools sence 1997. The T and T Transit Corporation has a renewed contract with PPS. for the school year's 2010to 2015. History: T and T Transit Inc. was started by my wife Sharyn G. Toomer and I, Harold D. Toomer II in 1995, with the purpose of providing safe and reliable transpotation for Pittsburgh School Students. We began subcontracting with a company named AKS Inc. which was under contract wih the Pittsburgh Public Schools. T and T Transit work under AKS Transit for one school year, in that time T and T went from one school vehicle to three, by the end of the school year. In 1996 AKS Transit did not bring T and T Transit back as subcontractors. My wife and I campaigned for our own contrat with PPS. and was awarded our first contract of three years by the Pittsburgh Public Schools in 1997. From 1997 to 2000, T and T grew to 15 vehicles, school vans and small buses. In 2001 the company had 20 vehicles and 25 employee's, T and T's gross income that year was around $900,000.00. In 2001 my wife Sharyn, who had beat lung cancer for two years, was stricken with cancer again. After a long battle with cancer my wife of 13 years died in april of 2004. During the time we were fighting cancer the companies fleet was diminish to 9 vehicles and 10 empoyee's. I kept T and T going untill May of 2006, but I had to shut-down operations because of debt and no help with management. At this point I liquidated all of T and T's vehicles and assets, the companies contract with PPS. was still in effect untill 2009. In the summer of 2008 I restarted T and T Transit with the help of SD Transit Inc. owned by (URL removed)phaine Durrett, by helping SD Transit operate under T and T's contract I was able to start rebuilding T and T's fleet again. Now T and T Transit has a new five year contract wih the Pittsburgh Public Schools, we have three vehicles and five empoyee's working. This restart of my company will enable T and T Transit Inc. to once more become a profitable corporation. We need some restart funds to move forward.
