Description:
Since 2007 WELTGRUND develops an ecological and sustainable Agro-Tourism project in the south of Chile, located on a 1200 ha estate with its own mountain lake (Laguna Blanca), large natural forests, uncontaminated soil and clear pure water coming down from the glaciers of the surrounding volcanoes Lonquimay and Tolhuaca.
The project combines holistic tourism for special interests with ecological agriculture and sustainable silviculture using renewable energy. It comes along with protection and conservation of the unique nature reserve.
The special thing about this project is – beside the outstanding location in nature between volcanos and the last Auracarias of the world – the networking of sport and health care tourism with an innovative concept in agriculture, forestry and energy supply. By the way, Fundo Laguna Blanca is located in the middle of the UNESCO-Biosphere reservation Araucarias and in the Geopark Kütralcura, which is only the second of that type in whole South Amerika.
